SEAPLACE, a ship design and offshore engineering company relies on FORAN V80R3.0 for the conceptual, basic and detailes design of the recently launched tugboat, CASPIAN FAUNA.13/05/2020 (Spain)
In late April, the "CASPIAN FAUNA" tugboat was launched at Turkey's Gelibolu Shipyard. It is an ice class 1D tugboat that will operate in the Caspian Sea.
SEAPLACE has developed conceptual design, basic engineering and detailed structural engineering. To this end, SEAPLACE has used appropriate modules of the FORAN V80 system.
MAIN FEATURES OF THE VESSEL:
Overall length: 30 m.
Beam: 11 m.
Draft: 3.20 m.
Minimum draft: 1.80 m.
Power: 2 x 970 KW.
Crew: 10 people.
Bollard pull: 25 Tm
For this project, SEAPLACE used the FORAN Naval Architecture subsystem, V80R3.0, which, for this project, included and applied the last amendment (in effect since 1st January 2020) to the Intact Stability Code (IS-2008) for ships engaged in anchor handling, towing and escort or lifting operations. Similarly, to carry out the structural detailed engineering for this project, SEAPLACE used the modules of the FORAN V80R3.0 Structure subsystem.
SEAPLACE also used FORAN V80R2.0 to do the detailed engineering of both the structure, machinery and outfitting of the cold storage ship "Siuana Arctica," recently launched in the Zamakona shipyard and which is currently in the final construction stage.
The FORAN software, owned by SENER, can be used to develop every phase of a ship's design in a fully integrated manner and in a single database, which yields a considerable reduction in the delivery time and cost of the project.
SENER congratulates SEAPLACE on the development of these projects and wishes it every success in its future projects.
